Fishbourne Pre School

Fishbourne Pre School

About us

Fishbourne Pre-School opened in 1996 and moved to the large purpose-built building on Fishbourne Playing Fields in 2000, where there is ample free parking.

We are registered with Ofsted and West Sussex Early Childhood Services to provide morning and afternoon sessions for up to 26 children per session, 38 weeks of the year.  All new applicants to the Pre-School are placed on a Waiting List in order of date of birth. We admit children from the age of two and a half years up to school age. As an approved Early Years education setting, we receive funding from West Sussex County Council Early Childhood Services for 2,3 and 4 year olds.

We have one Supervisor, Bev Fuller who has worked at Fishbourne Pre School for 22 years.  Bev Fuller is responsible for the delivery of the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum within the Pre-School. Email them at Supervisor@fishbournepreschool.org.uk.

We run well-planned sessions involving play both indoors and outdoors. We have an all-weather outside play area with an outdoor kitchen, flow wall, musical instruments, discovery lodge and ride-on equipment. Each child is assigned a dedicated key-person who documents their learning objectives in a Learning Journal, which all parents and carers can view and feedback comments.  Parent and carer involvement is actively encouraged within the Pre-School and we hold many fundraising activities throughout the year to help buy new equipment. The Pre-School has close links with Fishbourne CE Primary School.
